An Overview Of The
Carlton Landing Academy
The 2013-14 school year will be the second year of operations for The Carlton Landing Academy. As part of Canadian Public School District, The Academy offers Pre-Kindergarten through 4th Grade. A 5th and 6th Grade class will be added in the 2013-14 school year. There is no tuition required as The Academy is a public magnet school and supported by local, state and federal funding. As a magnet school, no cafeteria service is provided, so students bring their own sack lunch. There is no bus transportation to The Academy, so parents either drive or car-pool. Students who live in Carlton Landing can safely walk to school and go home for lunch. Since there is no attendance boundary for The Academy, attendance is open to all and there are no restrictions based on residential address. Students who live outside Carlton Landing or outside Canadian Public School District may attend The Academy as space is available.
Student registration for the 2013-14 school year is already underway with seats filling up fast! The first 80 students who complete their registration process will attend. Parents may register online, but will need to deliver a copy of the student’s birth certificate in person to the Administration Office at Canadian Public Schools.
